The wraps are bumped, chipped & lightly soiled with some light staining. There is white staining to the top edge of the front wrap & the top corner of the rear wrap is torn with large pieces out. The head & tail of the spine are torn with the front wrap partially detached. [4], [11]-100 & [2] pages. There is a stain to the top end of the fore-edge with small stains to the top corners of some rear pages. The pages of this pulp publication are toned with short tears to the front edges of several leaves. There is a very light crease across the top corners of the leaves & the corners of the first few pages are bumped. Black-and-white textual illustrations. Good only. <p>Herrmann's name is misspelled with only one "n" on the book's cover. This is a made-up volume, of which six pages are from Canfield's expose of con games, card sharper's tricks and gambling.<p>Alexander Herrmann was a French magician, better known as Herrmann the Great. The Herrmann family was known as the "first-family of magic", and those who saw Herrmann perform considered him the greatest magician they ever saw.
