Striking green cloth binding with elaborate gilt decoration front cover and spine; gilt lettering; top edge gilt. Minor wear, light bump to upper front corner else a fine, bright copy. In this title, the author provides the history of various historic buildings in America along with a description of its architectural features. Buildings include teh Capitol in Washington DC; Carpenter's Hall in Philadelphia; William and Mary College; Mission Dolores in San Francisco; some buildings in Havana; the Carlyle House in Alexandria, VA; the National Washington Monument and many more.
