Peking: Foreign Languages Press, 1972.. 1972.. Very good. - Quarto [12-3/4 inches high by 10-1/2 inches wide], white buckram, in a dust wrapper. The book is housed in a gray cardboard slipcase. The binding is lightly bumped. There is a small dent to the spine & the tail of the spine & the bottom corner of the front cover are lightly stained. The dust jacket is rubbed & lightly chipped. The slipcase is darkened with some light staining. [v] & 217 illustrations, most of them full- or double-page in color and black & white. A folding list of the illustrations in Chinese is tipped onto the rear endpaper. Very good in a good slipcase. <p>The title page is printed in Chinese and five other languages, with the remaining text in Chinese. Laid in is a stapled 9-page booklet containing an English translation of the foreword, list of illustrations and chronological table of Chinese history. Also laid in is the "Official and Authentic Introduction and Catalogue" for "The Exhibition of Archaeological Finds of the People's Republic of China. The 40-page catalog, bound in yellow wraps, was printed in 1974 by the Chinese Exhibition Council of the Royal Ontario Museum.
