About This Item

London, Printed by W. Wilson 1647. Hard Cover. Folio: 2 p.l., 107, 113-150, [8] pages; 28 cm. (a2, B-O4, P2, Q-T4,V3, *4). This edition is made of sheets from the 1646 edition. In this copy the second preliminary leaf, (a2), is bound at end; blank leaf K4, pp. 70/71, has been removed; and the last signature (*4), "Table of Heads" [i.e. index], is wanting. See Arthur Noel Kincaid's edition of the manuscript (Gloucester, Alan Sutton, 1982) for how the author's great-nephew passed a defective text as his own. Wing B5307. Good, with noted faults; bound in full modern leather. Stock#OB320.
