Hampton has hosted British Colonel Banastre Tarleton, General Francis Marion's headquarters during the Revolution and George Washington in 1791. Eleven chapters of stories and remembrances followed by black and white photographs. <br><br>CONDITION: Hardbound green textured boards, gilt title within black label on cover and spine; some spotting and rubbing. Uncut fore edges. Label residue and smudges on endpapers. Very Good condition. Dust jacket with graphic of the plantation house entitled in white on cover, black text on spine. Quite worn with small tears on edges, sunned, rubbed. Very Good- condition. Full refund if not satisfied.
