About This Item

1925 Spalding Basketball Official Guide Sports Shooting Scoring Rules Illustrated

Spalding 'Official Guides' are some of the most popular early 20th-century baseball memorabilia on the market. Spalding published a yearly baseball guide that included team photos, portraits and action shots of individual ball players, player statistics, a history of the game, and extensive sections on rules and gameplay.

This 1925 "How to play Basket Ball" contains much of Messer's Master's thesis on Basketball. The "How to Play" guide covers didn't change except for their Group Number. This "How to Play Basket Ball" includes information on shooting, passing, managers, coaches, captains, officiating, and more with illustrations and diagrams throughout!
