An excellent copy. First edition thus, first printing, inscribed by the author with an original drawing of his signature Blakean "Ah Sunflower" and a snake. The title page is inscribed "For Clarus Backes, March 5 1987, near Naropa Institute, Allen Ginsberg, AH Boulder Colorado", and the half-title has the drawing incorporating stars, moon, "Ah" sun, "Ah" sunflower and snake, and the inscription "Best wishes in the new age". Clarus J. Backes (1935-1988) was an award-winning journalist and book editor of the Colorado Tribune and Denver Post.
