2 volumes, large 8vo, period polished calf spine and tips and brown cloth, morocco title labels, gilt spine decorations, illustrated, viii, 812: viii, 772 pp. Some light edge wear, a few light scratches to spines, occasional ligt foxing, heavier on plates, no tissue gards; overall very good. This is a handsomely bound and richly illustrated set (72 steel engraved plates and maps) covering Enland's war with Russia in the 1850s. The work includes tremendous detail and accounts of the 'Crimean War', which was fought between several European powers over the declining Ottoman Empire.
