London: Peter Davies, 1930. First Edition. Grey Cloth. Very Good Minus/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. N/a. 256pp. 1930. First edition. 4to. small sized. No jacket. Original publisher's grey cloth - gilt embossed to the spine. No inscriptions. Frontispiece with tissue-guard (in super condition). A fold-out map to the rear (in lovely condition) and a plate section at the rear to include 103 b/w illustrations. A couple of stains with tide-marks to the head of the front board - the largest being 3.5cm x 3cm and a longer narrow stain to the extreme head of the rear board measuring 11cm x 1.2cm. No signs of moisture damage to the book/pages themselves. Some spotting - not heavy - to the fore-edges. A very good minus, tight essentially clean copy.
