Description:
Dee Why, N.S.W. : Jolliffe Publications. Stapled Wraps. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Unpaged, undated. I'm offering 1980 as the magazine contains an advertisement for "Jolliffe's Outback Calendar" for 1981 stating that it would be available in September. The pages are tanned, else the magazine is in excellent condition, clean, unmarked and solid. "....After the war Jolliffe joined Smith's Weekly but resigned and began freelancing selling his cartoon strips Saltbush Bill and Witchetty's Tribe to Pix magazine. He was particularly fond of "bush" subjects. Another cartoon strip, Sandy Blight, appeared in Sydney's Sun-Herald. In 1973 Jolliffe began publishing his own magazine, Jolliffe's Outback.
