About This Item

London: Macmillan. FINE book. 1st ed. Paper title label tipped in @ book's end.. 1924. 1st edition.. Hardcover. FINE book. REBOUND, closely matching the original BUT: title stamped in gilt directly on spine, rather than on a paper label. . 9"x6", ix,177,2pp. A fine rebind but no binder's ticket. Two types of very minor flaws. (1) the first & last 2 original leaves are faintly aged, (2) the fore & bottom margins of the last 3 original leaves faintly damp stained. This likely the rebind reason. FLAWLESS BOOK otherwise. It stays closed when stood on its spine. All three deckle edges white as new. COMES WITH a 68p exhibition catalog "William Morris and the Kelmscott Press". A 1994 U of Scranton exhibit of 122 items of the Walsdorf Morris collection. The photo of this catalog is taken against the backdrop of the tipped in, extra, title paper label. .
