It was his concern that the country atmosphere of Keston would be lost by increased traffic through the areas that he began to collect old potographs to remind himself and his children of the district into which his own parents moved on their marriage. Leaves Green Estate. it was only when showing these postcards to various older residents that he realised the pleasure many people felt when seeing remembered views of their childhood and decided o compile his increasing collection of photographs and personal reminiscences into a small book. It is his sincere hope that this volume will interest anf intrique the many newcovers to ther Parish as well as remind the older generation of a more tranquil time. Illustrated throughout.
