Octavo (19cm); blue cloth, stamped in gilt; iii, 324+[3]pp. Minor rubbing and wear to boards, with some tanning to spine; smudging along extremities. Textblock edges lightly foxed, with some dust-soiling, bindings weak in places, else Very Good.
Zofia Na kowska was a major intellectual figure, activist and author in Warsaw, particularly during the days of the interwar Polish Republic. In addition to presiding over one of its most prominent literary salons, she penned many essays and novels, the latter often taking on psychological or political themes. Kobeity (1906, translated 1920) is actually a compilation of three novels exploring feminine psychology, including her 1904 debut Lodowe pola (Ice Fields).
