About This Item

Paris: Robert Laffont, 1996. First printing. Paperback. Very Good. Effusively inscribed by the publisher to Roslyn Targ in 1997, a nice association copy linking two luminaries in the publishing world: Targ was a literary agent to a number of European writers including Italo Calvino and Samuel Beckett; Laffont founded his eponymous publishing house in 1941 and it became one of the foremost French publishers. Wraps, light wear. A memoir of his publishing life and an optimistic view of the future.
