LITTLE HOUSE IN THE BIG WOODS by Laura Ingalls Wilder - 2007

The Little House Books is a series of American children's novels written by Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867-1957), based on her childhood and adolescence in the American Midwest between 1870 and 1894. The books have been adapted for stage and screen, most successfully as the TV series Little House on the Prairie, which ran from 1974 to 1983.

Little House in the Big Woods is the first of the series. It is based on her memories of her early childhood in the Big Woods near Pepin Wisconsin in the early 1870s.
This is the 75th Anniversary Collection, published by HarperCollins in 2007.

The book is pristine. There is minor waving to some of the pages, but no marks or creases. There is shelf-wear along the bottom. The dust jacket has a little shelfwear too.

The book is brown/orange boards with reddish cloth overlay and bright gilt lettering on the spine.

There are numerous black and white illustrations by Garth Williams, the American artist who also did Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little.
