Half-leather, dark with light marbled boards, raised spine, tooled gilt bright on spine, bookmark, roughcut pages, 189 pages plus colorful colophon, three end papers, one with famous Roycrofters watermark visible, blue marbled inside covers and adjacent end papers. Illustration of Immanuel Kant as frontispiece, colorfully decorated title page. Illustrations and biographies of other philosophers throughout: Comte, Voltaire, Spencer, Schopenhauer, and Thoreau, all tissue-covered. Very tiny tear at top front tip. Near Very Fine copy.
