About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1935. "Little Tom of England" by Madeline Brandeis, includes photographic illustrations throughout. Brandeis wrote a series of books about children in other countries, taking photographs in each country she visited. The copyright date of 1935 is the only date in the book with no additional printing history. "Little Tom of England" is a delightful story about the growing friendship between Bob, a young American boy, and Tom, a British child, as they explore not only London, but much of England together. The book is in fine condition, except for minimal shelf rubbing at the spine tips and corners and is of highly collectible quality. The book has a blue cloth spine and handsome illustrated boards. It is a bright, clean, and sparkling copy from cover to cover. As for the interior, the binding is tight, and the pages are white and sparkling throughout. There are no marks, stains, tears, or signatures from former owners. The book has 159 pages and measures roughly 7 by 8 ¾ inches. See photo.. Hard Cover. Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Chap Book.
