About This Item

London: Heinemann. NF/NF. 1936. 1st English Edition. Hardcover; 1st Printing. A mystery about saving the Bunthorne Gold Club and its golf course from a rich developer of devious manner, told in the British cosy manner. Extremely well preserved, both book and dustjacket. The book is bound in original green cloth with gold lettering, and is tight, clean and has no previous owner markings in it, and no soiling. It has scattered small and light foxing spots, including on the page edges, and the spine is slanted perhaps 1/8", if that. The dustjacket is price intact, clean, crisp and colorful. Its spine has age darkened a few shades, and there are a few tiny edge nicks at spine ends and fold ends, plus a short, closed edge tear at back upper spine fold. It is now well protected from any further damage in a clear, removable mylar cover. This book presents beautifully, and is quite scarce, particularly in its dustjacket. ; 7-3/4" x 5-1/4"; 284 pages .
