The glory days of American steam locomotives are displayed in this gallery of historic black & white photos, collected by former Southern Pacific locomotive engineer George B. Abdill. These several dozen photos portray power units, railroad people, and the sights to be seen along the trackage. This work was originally published by Superior Publishing Company of Seattle. --- In full orange cloth-covered boards with titling in black to spine. Dust jacket with engine images to front panel. --- With prior owner's signature and bookplate affixed to front free endpaper, Christmas-time sticker to verso of ffep, otherwise a clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy. Intact jacket with slight yellowing and a streak of soiling to back panel; else bright and otherwise undamaged.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; 190 pages .
