W. H. Allen, London, 1965. Reprint. Hardcover (Illustrated Boards). Very Good Condition/Fair. Illustrator: Miroslav Sasek. Illustrated endpages and the illustrations within the text have all been drawn by Miroslav Sasek. Colour illustrated boards, again by Miroslav Sasek, with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and black strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration is for the underlying board, with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A tour of London, early 1960s, as seen by the artist Miroslav Sasek, for children. Rubbing to the back strip edges and to the book corners with the top book corners being somewhat bumped as well. A little age toning of the text block edges. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip corners. Numerous tears to the top dustwrapper edge with associated creasing. A little creasing of the lower dustwrapper edge with rubbing of the panels. Fading to the back strip and there is a horizontal tear to the back strip with a piece missing, 3 inches from the lower edge which has also affected the underlying board – please see photograph.
