About This Item

New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1915. This First Edition, published October, 1915, is in Very Good condition (click on photo). The book is bound in black cloth with a pastedown front panel illustation by Spencer Baird Nichols, as well as gilt spine lettering. There is light spine tip and corner rubbing. As for the interior, weakened front and rear hinges have been professionally strengthened with Brodart non-acidic tape, so that the binding is now tight and secure. There is a former owner's signature and embossment on the front endpapers. The book includes a beautiful full-color frontis illustration, also by Nichols, with tissue guard. The poetry collection includes 59 poems. The cream-colored pages are clean and bright throughout. The book measures 5 5/8 by 8 1/4 inches and includes 184 pages. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Spencer Baird Nichols. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
