Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1889. Hardcover, 1st edition, first printing ("with Goethe" at the bottom of page 44). Beautifully decorated tan civers, with gilt titles and various designs. Green floral endpapers. 404 pages plus adverts at back. Very minor shelfwear and faint rubbing otherwise a truly fine copy of this most desirable book. The book was printed after the death of Alcott and was put together by Cheney who had ties to Alcott's family. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
