A scarce complete run in three issues of the short-lived artistic and literary journal, created during the war and edited by painter Georges Hugnet with assistance from Maurice de Becque, containing prose and poetry contributions from major figures from Surrealism and associated movements including Paul Eluard, Marcel Duchamp, Tristan Tzara, Salvador Dali, Nicolas Gogol, Francis Picabia, Pierre Reverdy, Michel Manoll, and many others, with illustrated vignettes and cover design by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Hans Arp, René Magritte, Marc Chagall, Many Ray, Max Ernst, and Joan Miró.
