This book was designed and printed by Soheyl Dahi in September 2012. Black covers over boards with silver lettering on the front, black colored inside front and back covers. No tears bent pages nor any writing. No Dust Jacket. Shelfwear to the edges and to the head and told the spine are very minor. Bright clean text, tight binding, and an original, first edition very collectible book. A little history, in the 60s, Linda King had a nervous break down and was hospitalized for a period of time in a mental hospital. After her release, she began this largely although by autobiographical novel. In 1969. She met Charles Bukowski and the two had a tumultuous relationship for five years. Bukowski read this novel and Apparently liked it so much that he introduced Linda King to a literary agent in New York. Ultimately, the agent turned down the book and said "books on the subject of insanity don't do too well these days!" Nothing came of the unpublished novel. It stayed in the closet of different apartments in different states for 40 years. The autobiographical novel is a tour de force in its frankness of language and its immediacy of style. Her writing is fierce and from the heart. It's a great read according to Linda King outside of Bukowski and her editors and publisher No one else has read this novel. Linda King is a published poet and sculptor. This is her first and only novel. Bukowski dedicated two of his important books to her. He also made her one of his leading characters of his novel "women" (Lydia Vance). Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
