Very Good/Near Fine. 8vo, (ii),380pp. Beautiful Volume Six only of a seven volume publication of 19th century home economics originally spanning 1836-1842. Rebound in modern quarter Morocco with spine titles and borders in gilt. New end-papers. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. Some periodic and minor interior foxing but pages remain supple and un-toned. Bookseller label of Liz Seeber, Antiquarian Cookery, on rear paste-down. Primarily focused on cookery, there is ample information on brewing, farming, pottery and my favorite, "An Effective Guard Against Slugs". A gorgeous collectable copy.
