First printing stated on the copyright page. Original price of $19.95 still on front flap of jacket. The jacket has two faint blue lines offset from the prior dust jacket protector. Although the text by Mailer is excellent, the photos of Marilyn confirm her iconic status. There may not be a more photogenic person in modern history. Those who just consider her a "pretty face" completely miss the fact that she put more palpable emotion into every pose than almost any other actor around. And at a time when most women in society were being encouraged to be a pretty face.
