Loaded with approx. 200 black and white photographs. Portrait of Harry S. Truman, recto of copyright page. Grey lettering on black spine; black lettering on front of grey boards. 190 pp. Clean, bright, tight. "A symbol of victory at sea, this is the story, in word and picture, of a gallanat . . . a noble and majestic ship . . . proud in attack . . . undaunted under ridicule," (front flap). This story is told by the Admiral who's flagship she was, to a skilled writer of sea tales.
