Hardcover, in original buckram with gilt titles on front boards and handwritten titles on spines. Ex-library set with all expected stamps and markings. Cloth worn at spine ends and corners. Inner hinges have been strengthened. Inner hinges with occasional splitting, but the bindings are secure. Text primarily clean and unmarked, the library stamps are not obtrusive. Illustrated. 2 volume set.

Volume 2 only (of 3) . HC in original black cloth lettered in gilt. Ex-library copy with expected ownership attachments and indications. Gilt lettering at spine alomost entirely rubbed away. Fromt endpages split in the hinge have been archivally mended with japanese kozo. Binding shaken with mild splitting between signatures. Illustrated throughout with b&w photos, diagrams and drawings. Good only .
