The chapters are as follows: Choosing Equipment; Conditioning; Just Skating; School Figures; Special Figures; Free Skating; Dancing on Ice; Speed Skating; Skating Records; Glossary of Terms; Bibliography. "This book is a carefully worked out effort to furnish adequate teaching to those who do not find it convenient to be under the tutelage of an expert and qualified instructor. In this space we have brought together some hints on safe and enjoyable elementary skating, basic school figures and the elements of speed skating." Clean covers with no stains; the blue cloth color has faded at the top of the spine; sharp corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Clean pages with only an inscription in pen dated 1938 on a front end paper. The dust jacket has a small piece missing at the top of the spine and is price-clipped on the front flap. Overall the book is in very good condition.
