First Edition as shown with the A-3-64 [H] which is basically Scrib shorthand for 1st printed in March of 1964 in Hardback. It is not price clipped, has some previous owner's name in it (don't know him) and the DJ is in Ok shape, pretty much what you would expect for anything that made it through the '60's in America. There is some schmutz mark on the top of the pages, I marked it with an arrow so you can see it better, I have no idea what it is, I told my wife it was a drop of red wine spilled on it in a Paris Cafe as I read about Hemingway's adventures while in that town.

She didn't believe me.

St. Ives: Being The Adventures of a French Prisoner in England (1897) is an unfinished novel by Robert Louis Stevenson. It was completed in 1898 by Arthur Quiller-Couch. Unable to write, Stevenson dictated thirty chapters of the novel to his stepdaughter as a diversion from his debilitating illness. He alternated dictating St. Ives and The Weir of Hermiston but gradually lost interest in the former. The plot concerns the adventures of the dashing Capitaine Jacques St. Ives, a Napoleonic soldier, after his capture by the British. Condition: Corners bumped and rubbed, shelf wear, hinges and spine heal moderately rubbed, previous owner's name on front end paper else a very good copy.
