He was a poet and a friend to Joyce and Yeats. "The National Being" is his major work on Irish nationalism, published just after the Easter Uprising. This is a Very Good copy of the First Edition. Not common. Blue cloth binding; titling and ruling in gilt. Clean text; 176 pages,very bright and clear. The endpapers are tanned and there is some foxing to the prelims. There is a contemporary (1916) signature on the FFEP. The spine has faded and the gilt is a bit dulled but remains completely readable. A scarce and important work. In an archival plastic protector.
