New York: Johnson, Fry & Company. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1861. Quarter leather with marbled paper boards on this tightly bound copy. Contains 57 biographies with accompanying illustrations. Frontis with tissue guard. Marbled end papers that are reinforced with marbled tape. Text has light tanning. No marks. Bevelled edges that show light wear as well as lightly rubbed surface of both front and back. Gilt trim at leather bright. Three corners show wear with boards visible. Spine has piece missing at bottom as well as light scuffing. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 488 pages .
