1917. Hardcover. Very Good. One 5 9/16" by 3 1/2" postcard in color showing African Americans being baptized while a large crowd looks on. Verso side states, "Negro Baptizing. This is a common scene among the colored population. They are very devout and make a holiday whenever it is possible." Postmark of New Orleans, LA. Jan. 28, 1917. Canceled one cent stamp. A brief note in pen. Slight wear at two corners. The postcard is protected in a clear archival safe envelope.
