About This Item
Magazine format, 8 1/2/ x11, illustrated. Some slight aging, a little spine and edgewear; still overall in excellent shape. In 1961 the Yankees replaced long time manager Casey Stengel with Ralph Houk. In 1961, the Yankees would have one of their most spectacular seasons, winning the World Series, and Roger Maris breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record. Featured players include Mantle, Maris, Berra, Richardson, Ford, Kubek, Terry, Boyer, and Blanchard. Many photos of the players, and individual records for each player. The 1961 season was one of the most exciting in Yankee history.
