Here are two bound "American Edition" volumes of "THE NORTH BRITISH REVIEW" and "THE LONDON QUARTERLY REVIEW." Each volume contains 4 bound quarterly issues. Both volumes were published in 1848 by Leonard Scott & Co. in New York. Three-quarter leather bindings with raised bands and gilt lettering on the spines, marbled covers, marbled end papers and marbling on all page edges. The content of both volumes is mostly (if not entirely) non-fiction. The following 2 volumes are included:

Both volumes are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. Occasional foxing to the pages; heavier in some areas (including the end papers). No writing found. Pages 315 to 324 at the back of the London Quarterly volume have a light stain at the top inch of the pages; the top 1" of the following 4 pages have torn away (affecting approximately the top 4 lines of text of each page). Three of the outer cover edges have a small ding/chip to the board; light shelf wear to the bottom edges of the boards. Five pages at the beginning of the London Quarterly volume have a small tear at the outer edge. Light stain at the outer edge of the first few pages of the London Quarterly volume that gradually disappears.
