8vo, (6 ¾ x4), period tree calf, leather spine label, [8], [13]]-231 + 1 ad pp. Rubbing to spine, corners showing, issued without folding map, hole in rear flyleaf from erasure of old rubberstamp, inscriptions on endpapers, normal foxing, soiling, and aging within. Kilbourn (1787-1833) first published this work in 1816, and continued at least through the early 1830s. Early editions are scarce and sought after. There are several notations on flyleaves and endpapers, including one that notes the price at $1.00, and “Steel not this book.”
