Very Good. in x in x in. 1952, First Edition, first printing with �A� and Scribner�s seal on copyright page, in original, unclipped dust jacket, and portrait of author on back of Dj by Lee Samuels. Dj shows chipping at the top of spine, minor rubbing around the edges and two vertical, micro-closed tears at the top on front cover, near the spine. Dj flaps have tanned with age, otherwise they are in fine shape. Back of Dj shows two faint red lines, likely from a colored pencil. Dj has retained bright colors and has been wrapped in mylar to further preserve. Overall, Dj is in very good shape! Inside the front cover and flyleaf shows tanning as do pgs. 28-29 - this likely is a chemical reaction from a past owner storing newspaper clippings in these parts of the book for an extended period of time. Page edge blocks show moderate tanning, otherwise the pages are clean, crisp and unmarked. Cracked spine. Binding is very solid and square. Rare find in excellent condition! Great addition for any collector!
