New York: Barnes & Noble, 1938. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. First edition. Interesting copy of this instructive volume on stage makeup. From the library of author, Madeleine L'Engle, with her maiden name signature and New York address on front pastedown, and dated in 1941. L'Engle was a stage actress before finding success as a writer, meeting her actor and husband Hugh Franklin through her theater endeavors. Very good copy in publisher's leatherette boards with some light scuffing and soiling to covers. Head of spine shows a bit of wear. Internally clean and sound with toning to endpapers.
