About This Item

New York: Oxford University Press, 1931. Hardcover. Very Good. First American edition. Moderate wear on the boards, about very good. From the library of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Peter Taylor and his wife, the National Book Award-nominated poet Eleanor Ross Taylor, this copy with Peter Taylor's ownership name typed (in a feat of nimbleness on the edge of the front fly ("Peter Taylor / Douglass House"). Douglass House was the writers house at Kenyon College where Taylor lived with his lifelong friends Robert Lowell, Randall Jarrell, and Robie Macaulay.
