About This Item

Ames, Iowa, 1915. Hardcover. Very Good. Oblong string-tied flexible cardboard cover album measuring 10.5" x 13.25". 86 black and white gelatin silver photographs most measuring between 2.25" x 3.25" and 3.25" x 5.25", with a few larger or smaller, either inserted into corner mounts or glued down; with a few items of ephemera as well. Some captions though they are difficult to read. Album and contents near fine.

Photo album and scrapbook showing the life of a female student, Clarice Peterson, at Iowa State A&M. Most of the shots involve women and show them engaged walking along a beach, partying, riding horses, and more. Other shots include fraternity boys, a fantastic shot of an informal boxing match, people drinking from small barrels and the inside of a dorm room. Ephemera includes a small handbill with the lyrics of the school song, invitations, and a paper pennant. A few family photos are interspersed. A warm and appealing period album.
