Original quarter-cloth with hand-written label to front board; fourteen bound-in folding maps, hand-colored, with official stamps, hand-written notes, and signatures, various sizes, approximately 49 × 85 cm. each. Boards rubbed and lightly distended; three of the maps have been removed from the binding, but are laid in loosely; occasional light wear and smaller tears to folds from use. Unique bound volume of fourteen large floor and frontal plans for this important Czech functionalist building, located at Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí) 5 and also known as Palác Charitas. The plans, many of which are hand-colored and signed by the principals, the Charitas group, an association of Catholic housing cooperative. The architect appears to have been Ferdinand Rudolf in Smíchov, Prague. According to the approval stamps by the Prague municipal authorities, the plans were completed in 1928. Construction began the same year and the building was completed in 1929; it was fully modernized in 2002, retaining the purist fassade. The building is now the seat of the Czech People's Party (Christian and Democratic Union, KDU-ČSL).
