About This Item
London: Frederick Warne & Co, 1895. No marks or inscriptions to contents. Book contents are almost 'as new', and the gilt to all edges is clear and brilliant. No creasing to covers or to spine. An unusually well-preserved copy, very clean and crisp and very tight with bright almost unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. Full-leather boards with gilt embossing around edges. Decorated end papers. The spine whilst being completely intact has suffered some rubbing, otherwise the book would be classed as fine. 519pp. Tissue-guarded frontispiece of Lowell. Undated but ca 1895 as the American poet died in 1891. Albion Edition including the Biglow Papers.. Leather. Near Fine. 7.5 x 5.5 inches.
