About This Item

NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1990. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED. Like New. 1st/1st with full number line beginning with "1". Pre-publication, association edition inscribed by Cornwell with full name on the half-title page to a former co-worker at the Virginia State Laboratory in Richmond Virginia. "To Mary Lea, Best Wishes, Patricia Daniels Cornwell 1989." Book has mild slant from reading otherwise tight with good corners and clean boards. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate or marks and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Faint foxing to side fore-edges. A bend on page 214 where the page was dog-eared. Dust jacket is unclipped ($16.95) with mild toning to upper flaps. Original seller provided a 1991 VDGS (Virginia Department of General Services) newsletter about their now-famous employee. A lovely copy. Protected in a Brodart Mylar cover. Winner of the 1991 Edgar Award for Best First Novel.
