1913 Doubleday Page and Company first edition thus. 1311 pages with numerous illustrations. This book combines the three volumes that were originally published separately in 1904/05. Features illustrations by Harrison Weir, along with photos of all kinds of fowl.
Condition of the book is Good. The binding is mostly sound, with the hinge partially cracked at the title page (see photo), and at a couple other locations. Inside pages are complete and unmarked. Condition issues include:
1) Moderate wear to the boards, including some discoloration to the spine and back panel cloth.
2) The aforementioned hinge cracks. The book is holding together well, but as with most thick, heavy books, it is prudent to handle the book with care to avoid too much stress to the binding.
In sum, a rare book, in reasonably sound shape, but showing some wear from prior use and age.
Standard shipping is USPS Media Mail. A shipping surcharge may be required for expedited or international shipping options.
