Scarce guidebook to Prague issued by the Czechoslovak Union of Proletarian Tourists, which sought to turn tourism, hiking, and other forms of sightseeing and recreation via travel into something accessible to Czech workers of the interwar period, rather than only more financially secure layers of society. Appealing wrapper design by L. Šmíd incorporating a photography by one Mrázek. The author (1877-1952) was a Czech historian and pedagogue who was engaged in developing tourism in Czechoslovakia.
