About This Item
London: Edward Cave, at St. John's Gate, 1738. Very good overall. Copper engraving, period folds. 14 1/4 x 9" with margins, printed slightly askew on the sheet, with loss to top rule line. Map from the Edward Cave folio edition of this important encyclopedic work on Chinese culture, history and society, by a French Jesuit who specialized in China.
