This set is beautifully bound in the publisher's uncommon half tan calf with marbled boards and end papers. Condition is excellent. Occupies 21 inches (53 cm) on the shelf. A very near fine copy with some very minor wear to the bottom edge of the paper covered boards in an about near fine price clipped dust jacket that has some very minor wear and a small stain at the base of the spine that is only visible from the verso.

Loosely inserted is a 4pp hand written letter from the author (" Your affectionate Dinah") to "My Dear Alice" ( her God Daughter, the subject of the poem "My Godchild Alice"), closely written in black ink on four sides of folded leaf, each side measuring 4.5 x 3.5 inches.
