The inscription reads "Stay clear of icebergs, Clive Cussler". Very Good in Very Good dust jacket (dj). Quarter bound - lime green cloth with blue sides and no top stain. Blue pastedowns. Blue and gold lettering on spine. Bumped, very lightly rubbed. Rolled at head & foot of spine. Some very light fading/soiling, most notably along top edge and head/foot of spine. Clean pages with tight binding. Some pages (approximately 228-244) have an indentation/creases at top (parallel to hinge), which probably occurred at printing/binding. The dj is chipped along spine and at corners. Two small closed tears on rear at bottom (one approx 1/2 inch and one approx 1/4 inch). Some yellowing, most notably along edges. The dj is not price-clipped, shows original price of $8.95. The dust jacket is protected in an archival (removable) book jacket cover. Kingsley Parker has been exhibiting and represented by galleries since the mid-1970s and has a work in the collection of the Museum Of Modern Art in New York, NY. The artist is quite active with new works. Signed in ink "K. Parker/1976 ©" in the front matter where Parker explains his motivation for drawing the series of abstract flags. Copy 158 of a limited edition of 600, numbered in the colophon. Approximately 44 pages, unpaginated. Printed on fine, machine-made paper in brown wraps.
