About This Item

New York, NY, U.S.A.: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1981. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 1981 Putnam FIRST edition of Harris' thriller. His second novel after "Black Sunday" introduces the unforgettable Dr. Hannibal Lechter! This book is in NF/NF condition. The HB is very clean and unmarked without any bumps. There is a thin line of 1 mm foxing along the top edge up to the spine edge; it corresponds to the foxing along white top edge of the DJ. The DJ is not price clipped and shows virtually no wear with minor foxing on the folds. Harris' picture is bright. There is a very slight lean. Note: Putnam 1st editions before 1985 did not print that notation. Only printings after the 1st printing of a 1st edition were noted.

Synopsis

A second family has been massacred by the terrifying serial killer the press has christened “The Tooth Fairy.” Special Agent Jack Crawford turns to the one man who can help restart a failed investigation—Will Graham. Graham is the greatest profiler the FBI ever had, but the physical and mental scars of capturing Hannibal Lecter have caused Graham to go into early retirement. Now, Graham must turn to Lecter for help.
