Acceptable. 1868 first edition Townsend and Adams (New York), 6 x 9 1/4 inches tall hardcover, no dust jacket, marbled paper-covered boards over black leather spine and tips, five raised bands and gilt lettering to spine, 337, 308 pp. Moderate soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with cracking along both exterior hinges, though the binding holds firmly. Prior owner name to blank front free-endpaper. A few pages with slight foxing or creasing. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this uncommon summary of medical and surgical knowledge in 1868. Due to the weight of the book, additional postage will be required for standard international orders. ~RR~ [2.5P]
